NEW TATTOO!!!
Got my new tattoo!!!

My mom bought it for me for my golden birthday. It is on the back of my left calf.

It was designed and later tattooed by Josh Palmer at Aloha Monkey in Burnsville, MN.  It was cool because I had been thinking of this for years since I am a HUGE Hello Kitty girl and a bigger fan of A Clockwork Orange.  I always wanted a ACO tattoo, but they were all very masculine in nature until I thought of this.  So I sent him a bunch of pictures of both Alex from the movie and Hello Kitty.  He incorporated a lot of the imagery and color of both, including the awesome orange bow on the hat and the eyeball on the bow that is normally on Alex's sleeve.  I just LOVE it!

My leg is essentially retaliating against me right now though (hurts like HELL).  It hates me for tattooing it.  It's funny too, cuz my left side is the side affected by my cerebral palsy, so my leg does not lie flat.  The tattoo artists called it my "spring loaded leg" cuz it just pops back up if you press it down.  So they had to prop it up a certain way to get it done.

YW! I'm hoping to get my next tattoo soon and maybe it'll be on my birthday too.

After the first few weeks, it won't hurt as much. Might be itchy for a little bit, but worth it.

Yeah, I hadn't gotten a tattoo in about five years, so I was all worried about the after effects since I couldn't remember them. Hey, do you have any piercings? There's one I want right now (but don't have the money for) and am wondering about the healing time and annoyance.

I was hoping to get one before the new year, but I don't nearly have enough yet. Me too when I was waiting and waiting to get my first tattoo when I wasn't old enough.

I used to have piercings. I'm thinking about getting my nose pierced again, just not sure when. My Mom has the piercing above the lip. My first piercings were the upper parts of my ears and my nose. Which one do you want?

I think about 4 to 6 weeks, it depends where it is. And definitely try to keep it clean as best as you can. Both my Mom and I take silver to help the healing speed up.

Oh the first day or night you get it, I won't lie, it hurts like hell. If you get your upper ears, nose, or anywhere else, even if you accidentally bump it, it hurts like you're getting it again. I remember when I first got my upper ear pierced, I couldn't lay on the side where I got my ear pierced and when I woke up the next morning to put my glasses on, just one quick accidental bump and I felt like someone punched me in the ear.

And when I got my nose pierced at a place that totally messed it up, it was awhile before it stopped bleeding and a couple weeks after when it slipped out when I feel asleep, the hole on the inside of my nose closed and when I tried putting the nose stud back in, it would just keep popping up and then I pulled it out (not too hard) and it didn't hurt as much as when I got it.

I've got my lobes, belly button, nose, and helix (upper ear) done, so I know the pain of sleeping on them, lol. I wanted to get my left nipple done and i only know one girl who has it done. But she is the type that never does anything to prevent problems with it, so it got infected like, a LOT. I'd love to find someone who takes proper care of one of them, lol. :)

I'm way too scared to get my belly button or my tongue pierced, same for my nipples.

When I got my first piercing, my Mom helped me use rubbing alcohol to clean the pierced area. I would definilty get some rubbing alcohol and I think when it comes to taking out the piercing to clean it, you might have to wait until the next day or give it a couple days. It's been a long time since I've had one.

Rubbing alcohol has now been found to do more damage than good because although it helps with infection, it also kills the good cells. When I got my nose done, I used peroxide because apparently it doesn't kill the good stuff.
I used to want my tongue done, but healing would restrict my diet, which would be such a pain.

Maybe other than that, you could try taking codial silver.

So sorry this reply is late, things have been weird. Bad nightmares again.
