Need someone who speaks Polish!!!
Hi everyone,
If you speak Polish, I need your help.  This is driving me crazy.  I got the box set of David Gilmour Live in Gsdank, Poland the other day and I do NOT know how to properly pronounce Gsdank.  My English and German speaking brain is telling me that the 's' is silent, but I'm not sure.

Just so happens I'm working with my Polish colleague today! She told me to tell you that that is the wrong spelling--it's spelt G-D-A-N-S-K, Gdansk, and pronounced Guh-dan-sk.

Hope this helps!

I knew I would spell it wrong since I don't have it sitting in front of me, lol. Thanks, that eases my crazy mind. :-)

dazzlebug 's got it almost perfectly right. Combination of letters "g" and "d" is not easy to pronounce for someone foreign.

Yeah, I live in MN where we have a ton of Scandinavian ancestry and a lot of people of Polish background, so some of it can be easier for me. This one, however, had me going, "Argh, what is it?"
I love your icon, btw. I haven't done Spuffy stuff in SO long! I really need to do more.

That's one of the cool things in America - the mix of nationalities and cultures.

And thanks. I actually made it a year ago, but it doesn't get old. Sorta like Last Christmas by Wham. lol
