Goodbye Facebook

So, yeah...got rid of the Facebook. It has been nothing but trouble for me. It started with my sister and my husband's ex-girlfriend battling on my profile, only to have my husband's ex tell me that she hoped I was 'tortured every day for the rest of my life and that I was an immature brat'. This is when the arguement had nothing to do with me, other than the fact that it was on my profile. Oh, and in case any of you are wondering, she and my husband have a son together, so I do care what she thinks about me.

Then, I continued to recieve nasty emails from several people, ones that stressed me out and made me cry when my husband and other people told me just to ignore them.

And finally, I have had people calling me telling me to change my status because they didn't like it.

I have had nothing but trouble on that site, so I decided it would be for the best if I got rid of my account. That way I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. I thought about getting rid of my LJ and my website too, but no one has ever been mean to me on LJ. You guys are all cool. I still don't know about my website. I'm just pissed.

Speaking of things to be pissed about, we FINALLY got an answer back from our refinancing people. We have been dealing with a refinancing company since July. The process should have taken four weeks at the most and ended up taking a bit over four months after we got the bosses of the company involved because our rep would no longer return our phone calls and emails. He told us twice that the underwritting would be done in the middle of the week, so we didn't have to pay our mortgage. For those that don't know, when you refinance, you get a few months free of paying the mortgage due to recalculating the payment. Turns out that he was wrong on both accounts and for two months, our payments were late and we were slapped with fines and red marks on our credit. Finally, his boss got involved. As late as last Thursday, he told us we could get our rate down to 5% (it is currently 7.25%) and the payment down to $1100 (it is currently $1800). On Saturday, we got a letter saying the refinance had been denied. After all that wasted time and reassurance over and over again, it was denied. I was crying. Paying our house is SO hard because even if we save everything in the month, we still have to scrape up about $200 more when the payment rolls around.

On the upside, I got my Halloween costume. It's the first time I have ever gotten a sexy one. It's a devil costume with a red dress that is super short and has a tail attached. I also have a pair of horns and matching red fishnet thigh highs with little pitchforks on the top of the thigh highs. It's really fun and I feel really pretty wearing it.

I can't understand why facebook is so popular or Bebo in my country. It's a horrible interface and just seems to attract morons and stalkers.

Aw, no kill your site! I like it!

Oh, thank you! :) That makes me feel a lot better - it really does.
I'll never understand the Facebook draw. I agree with you on the interface. I don't understand the Twitter deal either. I can't constantly update my life for others; it makes my life boring.

Re: :::::S

She was actually the one who introduced me to Facebook, which I find kind of funny. And we were getting along fine until my sister decided to start arguing with her on there.

On the upside, my rep JUST called and said that the letter was sent in error, before they had gotten some of our paperwork. He's a moron. So things are getting a bit better. Hopefully we eventually will get that refinance! :)

Re: :o
My sister is one of those types of people that likes to start arguements because she loves to argue. My husband's ex is the same way, so it didn't work out too well. I still am trying to figure out how it all got blamed on me, but I can only guess that she blames it on me for no reason other than to stir up problems.

I'll let you know about the refinance. Hopefully we get some news pretty soon. :)

Jesus
that´s not good at all then, if you sis and the ex of your husband were the fact why you shut down your facebook, why not just delete them, well your sis probably not, but at least give her an ultimatum. I mean, you can do things just because other people. if they are the problem then find another solution less hard. I am just saying what I think not judging your acts :D
Lady Manson: Buffy - faith fighterladymanson on October 23rd, 2009 03:54 pm (UTC)
I actually deleted her right after the whole arguement thing took place. It wasn't anything against her; I simply didn't want to deal with that sort of stuff. I didn't delete my sister because I have known her much longer and although she can be a brat, I know that she is a good person deep down. Well, my husband's ex decided to start tormenting my husband with all these nasty emails about me because I took her off my friends list. Apparently the fact that I have helped take care of her son for the past seven or so many years and even more now that she has left the country means less to her than her being on my friends list on a stupid website. She's very childish in that manner and loves to hold grudges. I personally don't like to hold grudges. I did when I was younger, but then I realized it wasn't worth it. People I used to hold grudge against are people that I have since gotten back together with, which has made life much easier.

:O
Well and that the ex had been doing that things was enough to delete your account? just delete her and that´s it. but that´s what I think because I don´t know the whole problem. but anyway. it is better have the sister though she likes argue but et he end she is yous sis. but, why the child is with his dad and not with her mother?

Well I don´t think you should think if you have been helped to take care of her son, because once you got married with her ex you knew that in that child could be a compromise :O or I am totally wrong?

Re: :O
why the child is with his dad and not with her mother?
She married a guy in Denmark and left. That's why he isn't with her. She didn't take him with.

Well I don´t think you should think if you have been helped to take care of her son, because once you got married with her ex you knew that in that child could be a compromise :O or I am totally wrong
I think you misunderstood. What I meant is the fact that I have always been really good with the important things in life, like taking care of her son, yet she gets angry with me and calls me out on something as petty as Facebook.
winchesterwomanwinchesterwoman on October 25th, 2009 09:03 pm (UTC)
ahhh
I got it now. So, she is that king of woman that don´t have a mother instinct. left her son? Here, in México, of course there are women like her. But, I think a real mother can´t do that, leave their children. just is like there were a link and unbreakable link but well,.

Haaa I got it already. that she does not has the right to get angry with you when you have been take care of her son. mmm Well, maybe her brain is not working properly :P

That sucks! I'm seriously thinking of leaving facebook too. It's honestly one of the most pointless things ever.

Oh, I know. I have found that Facebook and Twitter have actually made my own life very boring because if I document everything I do, there is nothing that is left private. I'm not one of those people that updates about every two minutes via their phone or anything, but still...
