LJ Posting Question????????
Okay, this is driving me CRAZY!

When I post in my LJ, my post looks like
THIS.  I am wondering how I can get larger posts to look like THIS   It makes larger posts SO much easier for people to view so they are all smushed into a tiny layout.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you guys for all your help!  Now it looks better - hooray!!!!!!!! :)

Are you saying that you want your layout to have a wider entry space and so wish to edit the custom css of your layout?

Well, it looks like in the second one like you don't see any of the layout. It's just like a big page, which I find really nice for bigger entries. I'm trying to figure out how to achieve that. It may just be something simple that I am overlooking.

Tracy, I'm pretty sure this has to do with the style that you are in for LJ. Are you in S2? This means that all your posts, once you click on the cut, will remain in your customized layout. But with S1 (which is a simpler and older format), there's a customized layout and once you click on a cut, you get a basic page like the example you showed. At least, that's what I think... Hope this helps!

You can't change the customization of your journal style for one entry, either you have it for all or for none of your entries. In order to change your comment pages so they look like in your 2nd example you have to do the following: Go to Journal Style - Customization - Display - Presentation and select 'YES' on the drop down menue for 'Disable Customized Comment Pages'. Then all your entries will look like in your 2nd example. :) Depending on your journal style the option can be found somewhere else though.
