VIRUS WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!
I just spent the last ten hours trying to remove a virus from my computer.  I don't know how old this is, but I am reading up on it and it seems relatiively new.  It is called the Microsoft Security Essentials Alert virus.  It fakes you out by making a fake version of Microsoft Security Essentials Alert.  Then it basically hijacks EVERYTHING that has an .exe file attached to it.  You can't open ANYTHING!  It is so aggravating.  I used Norton and Spybot to pull certain parts of it out so that I could at least us my Run command.  Then I ran 'msconfig' and did a selective startup until I was able to weed out the startup things it had put in my PC.  Oh yeah, and the System Restore doesn't work either with it.

Makes for an awesome afternoon.  I thought I'd warn you all to watch out for this thing.
I feel: giddygiddy
I'm listening to: some scary show

Thanks for the warning, I'll definitely keep having my computer scanned every day just in case!

Thanks for the warning!

Did you try Avast? I know that this software saved my life three times already where Norton and Spybot didn't work.

No, I'll be checking into getting that on my PC right now. Thanks! :)

Since I tried this one, I always stuck to it. I hope it'll work well for you.

I had a REALLY nasty virus a year and an half ago, and NOTHING worked (like trying 8 famous anti virus stuff) and it did the trick. :)

*sends good vibes*

Re: Virus
I just recently got back into Criminal Minds, so I may start doing some art of it. I used to only like the first few seasons because I didn't like when the original boss of all of them retired. I've seen Joe Mantegna in only mob roles in the past so it was REALLY hard for me to get past that in the newer ones. But then I started watching it again and well, it's addictive. I could see if I could do a request for you if you want anything specific. Just PM me if you want to request anything. :)

Thanks for telling me though I don't think that's around yet on my side I do have firewall put up and avg so i'm all good. Damn 10 hours just getting it off the computer? That sucks. Does your computer still work? And Do you have AVG? That's A LOT easier than those two virus things. AVG helps you and get's rid of the virus right when you have it on there or if you have a virus it will alert you before it actually happens like a virus threat or something like that and it's free. I've had AVG for years and always had good things with it. If I get a virus it cleans it up. Does it come up on a pop up or just something that windows comes up with? Is it a red security alert thing? I'm confused lol. But get that program for future viruses and that scans your computer, it's safer than Nortan's cause you can see it and don't have to wait to get a vifrus to know that you have a virus.

Re: B
It comes with this awful popup that looks VERY real. Usually I don't fall for that crap, but I did with this one. If you Google Microsoft Security Essentials Alert virus, many sites will show you a screenshot of what the popup looks like. It's just evil.

Re: B
when a pop up comes up i'll be careful. Dang viruses....they are just argh. I'll be careful though. It sucks that they do that! But I have firewall and avg so hopefully I don't get it since I normally delete the pop up right away.
