New piercing question...
Last time I asked about piercings on here, I got perhaps the best help of anywhere on the Internet, so THANK YOU,

I am planning on getting my left nipple pierced, but wanted to ask anyone who has one if it is a piercing that is a real bitch to heal or has some rather non-redeeming qualities about it.

Reason I ask is because, piercings are always different.  I have tattoos and they are easy once you get one because they all pretty much heal the same.  But it seems to me that piercings in different areas of the body heal different and act different and all that lovely jazz.   So I thought I'd ask.  And as far as the pain goes, I really don't care anymore about that.  I was all worked up about when I got my last piercing and realized it hurts, but the worst is worrying about it cuz it's so quick.

And thanks in advance you guys for your unbiased attitudes towards piercings and tattoos.  I swear, I go online to ask a question like this and there are so many ugly comments out there.  I saw a comment this morning where someone said that ninety-five percent of men hate nipple rings and only trailer trash have them.  Yeah, I beg to differ.  I know a TON of guys who find them really hot (my husband being one of them) and if you look back in history, there have been piercings of this nature back as far as the fourteenth century.  I personally like the look of just one.

While I wouldn't see myself getting a nipple piercing, I got to say that I can find them quite hot on women!

Sorry I can't give you advice, but go you if you go for it! And I'm always in awe of people who also got tatoos as I'm a chicken! :)

Nipple piercings heal fine. they seem to be protected by your bra, so they don't catch on things like belly button ones do and I'm told you're not constantly aware of it like genital piercings. Usual rules, keep it clean and covered for 6 weeks to three months depending on how you heal generally.

I like that response because I actually wondered if wearing a bra would make the healing more painful. I have my belly button done too and I actually never got it snagged to the bad point, like a lot of people do. Thanks for the advice! :)

Egh, people can suck it. The woman I sit next to at work has given me "the look" I don't know how many times when she saw my tattoos. Seriously... mind your own business. "Don't you think you'll regret that when you're older?" I really don't know, nosey nose, since that's in the fucking future and I love it now and have loved all of my tattoos since I got my first one well over five years. Mind. Your. Own. Business.

/rant. LOL.

I think that's sexy, a nipple ring. TMI, perhaps, but mine are so sensitive that the idea scares me! LOL - but you go crazy! :P

Oh, I know. My sister in law works corporate and she has TONS of tattoos. Well, she works in a very high end part of it and is always dealing with VPs. So one time, since it's a company that deals with restaurants, they were going around the room saying what was the first thing in restaurants that made their dining unpleasant. One of the VPs goes, "Tattoos." Like, not bad food or shitty service or anything. So, my sister in law says nothing cuz she's not going to start anything, but she was wearing a long skirt and suddenly the VP sees this ENORMOUS piece that goes from her knee to her ankle. The VP gets all apologetic and it's like, "Okay, you can't really go back on it now..."

Besides, what the whole, when you're older thing? I could die tomorrow. I don't know. So I'm going to tattoo or pierce whatever I want.

And thanks for the sexy compliment. I feel the same way about them. :)

I can't understand what people's problem is when it comes to tattoos or piercings. I mean, if you have eyeballs tattooed on the back of your eyelids, I can see why that would be unnerving. It's definitely a generational thing. People are just so... stuck in their ways and it's so FRUSTRATING! Lol. Mostly because they judge all of you about your choices and it's like... back the fuck off or I will snap. Lol. Good for her though with her leg piece lol.

THANK YOU! That is exactly what I say! I sure as fuck don't regret it now and I could die. I joke with my mom when people say that, I'm like, "It's an easy way to identify my body!" If I'm ever kidnapped or murdered or something... Lol. *knock on wood* :P

Good luck with it!!
