More HTML coding help needed!
So, I decided to start putting my fan fiction on my website.  Well, there is a strange issue brewing.  If you check out the link below, you will see that wherever I have quotations on the page, questions marks appear.  I don't even know how to start looking for solutions to this problem because I don't really know what the problem is.

Does anyone know what this is or how I can fix it?  Many thank yous in advance!!!

I'm no whiz with html, but my guess is that you did the writing in Word and the quotations are the formatted "smart" quotes which are recognized as foreign symbols rather than quotation marks.

When I was formatting transcripts for Buffyforums I had a similar problem. I ended up having to do a replace search to change them into just plain quotation marks.

I hope this explains the problem. Maybe someone will have an easier suggestion to fix it.

Yep, that's what I was gonna say. They should show up fine if you replace them with regular quotation marks in notepad (or whatever you use.)

Or if you really like the look of the smart codes, you can use “ and ” so “ and ” would show up :D
