Friday Night Lights
Title: No Bright Side
Info: This is for the Poster of a Girl challenge at BF. This is a character piece, based on Julie in Friday Night Lights. Julie is a character I personally adore, but is viewed upon by many fans as a brat. She has lived her life moving from place to place, as she is the town football coach's daughter. Whenever a new job comes up, she has to leave another home. I feel each season throws a wrench into her life, whether it be the birth of her sister or the fact that all her friends are leaving for college. Dealing with all that as a teenager can be rather difficult, so I felt the 'no bright side' lyrics fit her well.
Title: Satisfy Myself
Cast: Tyra and Landry
Info: This is my second piece for the challenge at BF. This piece is focused on Tyra from Friday Night Lights and her struggle throughout the series to show people that she is more than what they view her as. Her entire life she has been viewed as someone who can't possibly succeed in life any further than high school, if that. Her family is less fortunate than many others that she knows in town and people view her as dumb. She has worked incredibly hard to make something of herself and this scene shows when she receives her acceptance letter to college. It shows that all of her work has truly been worth while and that she is better than those who have looked down on her all her life have told her she is. I found the lyrics to be ideal, as she has made herself happy and showed up all those that doubted her.
Title: Don't Really Mean It
Cast: Clary and Jace
Words: Tori Amos
Info: A simple Jace/Clary piece. I did a manip of Clary and think it turned out okay. I added in the fire and the city to symbolize New York and the violence of the secret world. The words I associate with their relationship and although it is forbiddon, it is irresistable.
Title: Find a Way
Words: Tori Amos
Info: A simple manip of Clary Fray.
Title: Luck Runs Out
Cast: Dean and Jo
Info: I was taking a look at my images from season two and really wanted to do a Jo piece. I think the lighting and color worked really well. The lyrics relate to both of them, as their lives are both incredibly difficult.
Title: When You Cry
Cast: Sookie and Jessica
Words: Sookie and Jessica
Info: I LOVED this scene and decided to art it for the It's Always Got to be Blood challenge at BF that focues on blood.
Cast: Scully, townspeople
Info: This scene always really creeped me out. I wanted to pull together the look of the mob and the violence before they tried to behead Scully. The quote seemed to fit, as the townspeople killed all the outsiders.
